Brokerage
Commission paid to a channel partner for a booking, usually a percentage of the agreement value, paid on an agreed trigger such as registration.
Also called: commission, CP payout
Brokerage is the channel partner's fee, typically a percentage of the agreement value. Developers often run slab structures or launch incentives on top.
Example: 2% brokerage on an agreement value of ₹70,90,000 is ₹1,41,800, plus GST if the partner is registered. If the developer pays on agreement registration and the buyer cancels later, the agreement should say whether brokerage is clawed back.
Treat brokerage as part of cost per booking. A channel that looks free at the lead stage can be expensive per booking.
