Registration fee
Fee paid to the sub-registrar to register a property document. Often 1% of value, with caps in some states, such as ₹30,000 in Maharashtra.
Registration fee is paid to record the document with the sub-registrar. In Maharashtra it is 1% of the property value, capped at ₹30,000 for most property purchases. Other states have different percentages and caps.
Buyers usually pay stamp duty and registration fee together at agreement. Some developers include them in a promotional all-inclusive price. If you do, state clearly what is included so the buyer's loan and TDS calculations are correct.
